What sets A Thousand and One apart is its theatrical approach to festival design

In its debut year, A Thousand and One set a new benchmark for immersive festival visuals. Commissioned by MDLBEAST, AIM created the digital content and large-scale projections that turned the event into a vivid, story-driven experience. Inspired by One Thousand and One Nights, the visuals blended centuries-old tales and legends with modern technology. Through massive LED screens and projection-mapped environments, we brought iconic characters and surreal landscapes to life. What made the show unique was its theatrical approach. Elaborate set pieces across the festival grounds created immersive spaces, with our content designed to match and enhance each environment. From animated stories to pulsing abstract visuals, everything was tailored to the music and setting. With a lineup including Eric Prydz, DJ Snake, R3hab, Artbat, and Salvatore Ganacci, the visuals helped elevate each performance. Festival goers were fully immersed - whether walking through Scheherazade’s Gateway or sailing with Sinbad, the experience felt like stepping into a futuristic Arabian tale. For AIM, it was a chance to combine storytelling with innovation and explore new ground in festival design.
