A PROJECTION MAPPING SENSATION CELEBRATING NUFC, ITS FANS, AND THE CITY
Three large water screens added a unique holographic element to the show
The crowd roared in appreciation as they relived iconic moments from NUFC's history
Artists in Motion proudly showcased Newcastle United’s “We Are One” show, which was sponsored by Sela in celebration of their one-year anniversary in partnership with the club. The event unfolded along Newcastle’s River Tyne, featuring 3D projection mapping on the iconic Baltic Flour Mill. A sophisticated lighting and sound system enhanced the immersive outdoor experience, which included a bespoke soundscape featuring archival sound bites, original music and lyrics. Three large water screens in front of the flour mill added depth and a unique holographic element to the show.
Spanning nine minutes, the show kicked off with the iconic Blaydon Races tune, a nod to the famous marathon taking place in the city the next day. This was followed by a celebration of the club’s illustrious heritage and their cherished Geordie fans, and a 3D animated montage honouring the great legends and heroes from the club's 100-year history.
The crowd roared with appreciation as they relived iconic moments from history, including Alan Shearer’s remarkable volley against Everton in 2002, David Ginola’s unforgettable displays of European magic, and a heartfelt acknowledgement for the late Sir Bobby Robson.
Highlights from the last season's games were featured with a selection of broadcast shots enhanced by isolated footage of key players, derived from our green screen shoot. The Adidas and Newcastle United sponsorship deal with the exciting unveiling of next season’s team kit was brought to life with the use of meta-human technology to give a high impact show finale. Howay the lads & lasses!
