Set against the breathtaking landscape of the Liwa Desert, the Liwa International Festival celebrates the region's rich heritage alongside one of the world's most iconic motorsport events. At its centre stands the towering Moreeb Dune—a natural landmark unlike any other.
In 2024, Artists in Motion became the first studio to illuminate the 300-metre-high dune through large-scale projection mapping, transforming the desert into a monumental canvas for storytelling. Returning in 2025 and 2026, the productions grew in both scale and ambition, culminating in three fully animated films projected across a surface stretching the length of three football pitches.
Across three consecutive festivals, Artists in Motion helped redefine what was possible in one of the world's most challenging natural environments.
