Produced by FiveCurrents, the Closing Ceremony was a tribute to the people, partnerships and ideas that defined Expo 2020 Dubai. Celebrating six extraordinary months of global collaboration, the production honoured the millions of visitors, participants and creators who helped bring the World Expo to life, while looking ahead with hope, optimism and unity.

Artists in Motion created the projection content for the ceremony, alongside the design, art direction and production of a bespoke 4K augmented reality broadcast package. Highlights included a breathtaking visual accompaniment to Grammy Award-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma, where evolving deserts, mountains, waterfalls and forests flowed seamlessly across the Al Wasl Dome, brought to life with intricate cloth simulations that danced effortlessly through each landscape.

The evening concluded with a spectacular performance by Christina Aguilera, a breathtaking pyrotechnic display and one final journey beneath the dome—bringing the story of Expo 2020 Dubai to a close in unforgettable fashion.
