Based on the life of celebrated female Emirati poet, Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi – ‘Ousha & the Moon’ takes a look into the fantastic mind of an Emirati child born without speech, whose words would one day capture the heart of a nation.
“Ousha & the Moon” re-imagines the dream that set her young life in motion. The story depicts everything from Ousha’s humble beginnings in the lush, green oasis of Al Ain, to her extraordinary meeting with the ‘Moon’ and finally, her arrival in Dubai – where her career as a poet began to flourish and take shape.
For the first time in recent history, Ousha’s life & poetry – narrated in both Arabic & English – was showcased to the world as part of Expo 2020 Dubai.
