Created as a month-long ticketed immersive exhibition in Melbourne, Wisdom & Light invited audiences to experience the remarkable life and legacy of Venerable Master Hsing Yun, founder of Fo Guang Shan, one of the world's largest Buddhist organisations.
Through surrounding projection, original music and cinematic storytelling, visitors followed the Master's journey from a childhood marked by hardship to a life dedicated to compassion, wisdom and the teachings of Buddhism. The immersive experience concluded with an exhibition of his celebrated One-Stroke Calligraphy, allowing audiences to encounter the profound simplicity and spiritual depth of his artistic practice.
Developed under the guidance of Venerable Man Ko, Head Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist temples across Australia and New Zealand, the production was created with great care and authenticity. Since its Melbourne premiere, the exhibition has toured to additional locations across Asia, extending its message to new audiences. More than a visual experience, Wisdom & Light offered a quiet moment for reflection—celebrating a life devoted to kindness, learning and the enduring power of compassion.
