Based on the Emmy Award-winning BBC series and produced by Global Creatures, Walking with Dinosaurs, The Arena Spectacular has captivated audiences around the world for nearly two decades. For the latest evolution of the production, Artists in Motion was commissioned to reimagine one of the show's defining sequences featuring the magnificent Ornithocheirus.

Working from the physical creature as the creative foundation, the team developed the complete digital pipeline from sculpting, rigging and animation through to the creation of expansive prehistoric environments that surrounded the performance. Every landscape was designed to seamlessly extend the physical stage, immersing audiences in a richly detailed world from millions of years ago.

Built entirely within Unreal Engine, the project marked a significant evolution in Artists in Motion's production workflow. By embracing real-time technology, the team was able to iterate rapidly across vast cinematic environments while achieving a level of visual richness and creative flexibility that redefined how large-scale projection content could be produced for live performance.
