Commissioned by Stephen White Productions, Artists in Motion developed the immersive visual world for Heartland, the latest production at the Australian Outback Spectacular for the Villiage Roadshow Theme Parks. Working closely with the show's creative team, the experience was designed to celebrate the resilience, spirit and enduring connection between Australia's farming communities and the land they call home.
Through large-scale projection, cinematic filmmaking and bespoke animation, audiences were transported across sweeping plains, rugged mountain ranges and dust-filled stock routes, witnessing everything from thundering cattle musters to the challenges of drought. Projection mapping transformed the show's iconic red shed into an ever-changing landscape, allowing the physical environment to shift, expand and evolve as the story unfolded.
Blending theatrical performance with immersive media, Heartland created a powerful sense of place which brought the beauty, hardship and resilience of the Australian outback to life for audiences night after night.
