Selected from more than 90 competing proposals, Artists in Motion conceived and designed a permanent immersive experience for the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. Guided by the Utzon Design Principles and the Opera House Conservation Management Plan, the experience was carefully developed to complement one of the world's most significant architectural landmarks.
Within a compact footprint, AIM created a 270-degree projection and surround sound environment that traces the Concert Hall's story—from its design and construction to the remarkable performances that have shaped its cultural legacy. Inspired by architect Peter Hall's vision of the Concert Hall as "a cathedral slowly lifting the audience to meet the performance", the experience combines architecture, storytelling and immersive media to create a memorable introduction to Australia's premier performing arts venue.
